[ Eddie hadn’t made any direct mention of Mike’s birthday when it was mentioned to him two weeks back, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care. He cares a great deal, in fact, and he imagines that this is a shitty, lonely place to turn seventeen when all your closest friends and family are absent. Eddie knows that he doesn’t fill those roles, but he can offer up a gift to at least make this feel somewhat like a birthday.

It’s what he’d want for his seventeen year old self in this situation.

He makes his way up to Mike’s little apartment without warning, bangs an elbow against the door, swings it open to announce himself in the most annoying way possible.

Or maybe he can be more annoying. Because he takes a deep breath, and in his best Creepy Demon Voice, he howls: ]
