[ Only because he had to prove a point is she feeling elated — excited and making a silly little face at his question, like the answer is so obvious he didn't even really have to ask. Her long hair smacks her face a few times in the second it takes for her to open her mouth, free hand moving to toss it out of her way. Her laugh is louder, breaking eye contact so she can make sure that hand is, eventually, anchored at her scalp so she can look at him proper.

And boy, is he pretty. He should smile more often, she thinks. ]

Easy! Duh.

[ And that isn't because she's not interested in the complicated one (maybe, once she's dropped back off), it's because she wants the quickest answer she can get. ]
