[ The people in the Diadem are the sort Logan understands inside out: cynical, paranoid, closed off; hell, there's a guy he sees at least twice a week at the same diner whose name he still doesn't know. Never asked, never got asked in return.

It's comfortable. The dark stares and suspicious frowns greet him like an old friend.

Now and again, he finds somebody different. And...he isn't sure how he feels about that, exactly, but when she laughs, a flash of a smile crinkles his eyes in return. She's into it, huh? Thought so. Logan's content to watch, arms on the counter, glass top cloudy with fingerprints and a couple of smears of dried blood at the edges he's not gonna question. He can hear the song, too, muffled and tinny from her headphones, and it occurs to him he hasn't sat and listened to the radio or a song in a long while. ]

Yeah. Basically. [ He flips the album over where the track list is numbered on the back. ] This tells you what's on it. Used to pop this movie on for the kids when they got antsy.

[ When things were getting bad, but not so bad the school had shut down yet. Just hadn't wanted them to stare at the news and freak out, y'know? For all the good that did in the end. ]
