The temple trembles. Heresy. Both will feel the quakes contained to the temple complex and the surrounding area. Strange will indeed see the illusions shift and shatter from a welcoming hall of worship, peeling away warmth and opulence to reveal the walls of bodies upon bodies. At first they are eerily still, frozen in their ascent to climb upon one another where they are not wholly merged, arm becoming neck and flesh melding with flesh.
But Strange will hear several voices call out to him, beckoning him back inside. The bodies will begin to move, reaching out and extending their hands in welcome. No matter how far away, a hand will always appear right in front of him, close enough to touch if only he reach back.
Join us.
Over and over. There is a safety in the oneness. A protection. The urge to lose oneself will feel overwhelming and extremely tantalizing. Why worry?
You can:
Join the wall. Strange can accept the pull of the calls and reach back out. As soon as he touches a hand he will feel the urge to shed every part of his being that makes him identifiable, whether it be clothes or his very flesh. He can do this as slowly or as quickly as you would like. If he tries to shed his skin, he might see the hands help him remove it piece by piece, but Alucard would see Strange tearing at himself.
Resist the call. As tempting as it is, Strange can try to hold onto his sense of self. He can pull back, but he will find that he has somehow traveled back into the inner room of the temple while listening to the voices. He will need to make his way back out and try not to touch any of the pieces of the wall that try to grab at him. Their cries will get louder and louder, hands becoming claws. Bodies will fall from the ceiling in various states of anatomical impossibilities, crawling frantically after him. It will only be when he leaves the temple fully that his vision will start to clear. But the might hear chants of join us up to a few hours after they leave.
In either scenario, Alucard will not suffer the same mystical call. However, he will hear a whisper in the back of his mind: Are you not devout? If he wants to enjoy the sanctity provided by the temple, he ought to let Strange proceed with the "shedding."
