[ Funny how it isn't so much the stealing of their own mobility or features that bothers them. It's the intangibles, coupled with the uncharacteristic way in which these things were going about acting like they were them. As if they had any claim to their memories and sharing them when they were clearly not meant to be shared so easily.
Cassian doesn't know any of that of course. He can only assume due to the way Marc answers him. His eyes notice the twitch of his hand, and immediately he begins to look for signs of a concealed weapon on him. The bruising and the dark circles feel like they could be tells of that even though visible injuries are hardly telling of what a person could or couldn't be carrying. He's sort of a testament to that.
(In fact, they're dressed pretty similarly. They look it too with their matching dark circles under their eyes. Maybe that's what tips Cassian off that he's found the owner of his hitchhiker's partner-in-crime.)
The other clue? Though their hitchhikers are quickly making their way down the street and are rounding the corner, he can tell from here that that way the mannequin accompanying his carries itself similarly to the man before him (white suit excluded). He motions a little stiffly after them as they disappear around the corner. ]
Ours might have teamed up. It might not be a bad idea for us to do that too.
[ And then, without waiting for an agreement, Cassian begins to move in that direction. Because whether or not Marc wants to team up with a stranger, they both kind of have the same goal. Presumably. ]
