( as she was getting ready for work, wanda noticed how worked up sanji was getting over a text conversation. it was easy enough to pry out of him just who was annoying him so much, this zoro guy, part of his crew. he obviously had mentioned him before, alongside usopp, because sanji had felt wanda needed to be okay with the idea of them living right next door. wanda felt it was a given that they should, especially with the room being free now, regardless of her own reservations or feelings on the matter. there's a shared bathroom between both rooms, too, an arrangement that could be awkward if they didn't know the other tenants.
so, to her, it made sense.
she left for work, telling sanji to just go get them, and she could only imagine what may have transpired during the many hours she was out. first, her shift, then meeting some new friends, exploring around the area and finding a couple of places to loiter at, and, ultimately, getting some very specific groceries. sanji must be covering his shift now, so she expects the room to be empty by the time she gets back, a prepared meal in the kitchenette for her to have should she feel hungry. what wanda does notice that is different is that the light is on in the room next door, as she heads up the stairs to the second floor. it's the first time they've been on in about a week.
after packing the groceries away, she grabs at one of the beer bottles she had bought (sanji, in explaining his friends to her, gave her the very clear idea that zoro liked to drink), and makes her way to the bathroom, turning on the light, and then knocking on the door to the other room.
(she's expressed her worries to sanji, about whether his friends would like her, her own insecurities about fitting in rearing their ugly head. would they not just want to be on their own, hanging out together, doing whatever it is that pirates do? the words he offered her bolster her with courage now, to try and break the ice almost immediately, even without him around.)
