Jack on his own is a somber young man, prone to long periods of quiet reflection, but he warms up when he gets a chance to speak to others. He's been isolated much of his life so he gets excited when put in a social situation. He really is not very good at it; social cues go straight over his head and he has no good sense of humor, but his sincere demeanor goes a long way. He is just like this.

Jack has heard there's a sea out there, past the quadrants, and he might someday want to go there and see if there are ships and if he can finally go on one. But he's still pretty new so that's a question for later.

"An entire city of pirates?" G'raha has his full and undivided attention. "In the history books of my world there was a place called Tortuga, an island that the pirates would hide out at." Jack loves stories and he has spent some time in the bunker not really having much to do outside of go on the internet. These are the types of things he researches.
